David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center Tour. At 0630Hrs, after Early morning breakfast, you will be met by your professional Safari Driver Guide, then drive to Nairobi National Park for an Early Morning Game drive. The park is a unique ecosystem by being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. The park is located only 10 kilometers from Nairobi city centre. The savannah ecosystem comprise of different vegetation types. Open grass plains with scattered acacia bush are predominant. In this Park, the Likely animals to see are the “Rare Rothschild Giraffes” Zebras, Impalas, Gazelles, Baboons, Monkeys and IF you are “LUCKY” you May/May Not see the White Rhinos and Lions. These are two animals which are hard to see, but they are present within the Park.There are also Man-made dams within the park which added a further habitat, favourable to certain species of birds and other aquatic biome. You will check out of the Park by 1000Hrs, then drive to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage which is strictly opened for One Hour between 1100Hrs-1200Hrs, here you will have 1 Hour of Close watching the Orphaned elephants being fed with Milk by their attendants, after being fed, they would play around as you are given their History. There are 2 groups the younger ones and the Adult ones. These Baby Elephants were rescued either because the Mother was sick, OR died due to Paoching. After this Visit, Clients have an option to buy Lunch Or a Sandwich at the Galleria Mall payable directly to the cashier. After this, drive to the Giraffe Center, where you have a chance of feeding the Giraffes too close to you. These type of Giraffes are called the “Rare Rothschild Giraffes” which come very close to you, any client whom doesn’t mind can kiss the Giraffe here, take several photos, thereafter, you will drive back to your Nairobi hotel in the evening.
